Verruca Care Range
Verruca are caused by a virus and are contagious they appear in various shapes and
sizes and may grow singularly or in groups this is not always a painful condition
and depending on the size and location of the verruca it may go unnoticed.
Verrucae
can be seen in any age group but usually affects children and young adults and are
associated with communinal areas like swimming baths, sports centres and gymnasiums.
In the early stages the verruca may have minimal appearance but characteristically the verruca appears like a cauliflower pattern sometimes with black spots or streaks through it. These black dots are classical to verruca and are caused by the bleeding of fine capillaries into the tissue. Conservative treatments include topical medicines and patches and if these treatments fail, your HPC Registered Podiatrist may use a series of freezing methods (Liquid nitrogen) or electrosurgery to eradicate the problem.
